Budget
This is one of the main factors that determine the laptop you can get for your child.
There are plenty of great deals you can get, but ideally it would help if you know the minimum good specs you need for your child to play most modern games.
There are laptops that go into the mid-range territory with have better build quality, and power features such as overclocking and more.
Graphics Card & Processor
Currently, NVidia is the king of graphics cards in laptop gaming. GeForce GPUs pack loads of power into laptops, and there are more efficient designs in its Max-Q models that let it fit into slimmer machines.
However, if your kid wants to play some light games, NVidia’s entry-level cards like the GTX 1050 or 1050Ti are more than enough.
