1. Wikipedia
The Wikipedia plugin on ChatGPT allows you to request information from Wikipedia. You won’t have to navigate to Wikipedia and find its page on any given topic.
Instead, simply ask ChatGPT to use Wikipedia to tell you more about the building, person, event, or anything else you want to learn about.
It’s incredibly easy and useful.

3. Keymate.AI
Keymate.AI is a plugin that lets you search the web for current news, events, and updates straight from ChatGPT.
Simply tell ChatGPT to tell you more about a certain topic, and it will browse the web for updated information with the help of Keymate.AI. Then, it will summarize the information and present key points, along with the source or sources it used.
If you want to see the actual results from Google using Keymate.AI, you should optimize your prompt and tell ChatGPT to give you the top Google results for a specific search term or phrase.
When I asked ChatGPT to give me the top Google search results for the phrase “most valuable baseball cards,” it gave me 10 of the top results on Google. It also provided a brief description of each webpage and meta images.
4. AI Browse and Search
Another awesome plugin, if you want to see Google search results straight from ChatGPT, is the AI Browse and Search ChatGPT plugin. You can ask it to provide the top Google search results for any given keyword, and it will give it to you.
In my example, I used it to search for the keyword phrase “most valuable baseball cards.” It gave me three results, along with a brief description of each webpage and meta images at the bottom.
When I entered that phrase into Google, I actually got those same results at the top three of my search results, so it is pretty accurate.

Expedia is an online travel agent and a popular website for booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and other vacation deals. There is now an Expedia plugin for ChatGPT that will help you plan your trip and find information about flights, hotels, and so on.
I asked ChatGPT to help me plan a trip to Paris from New York. First, ChatGPT asked me which dates I wanted my trip to be on and which type of accommodation I preferred.
Once I answered, it suggested various hotels. I was pleasantly surprised by how useful this was.
Not only did it provide a list of hotels, but it gave me more information about each hotel, such as:
- Services and perks

- Average price
- Average rating
- Max occupancy

Now you can travel the world with ChatGPT! The Earth plugin allows you to instantly generate a map of any location in the world.
You can also ask ChatGPT to give you directions to a location. Using the Earth plugin, it will find the coordinates and provide a link to its location on Google Maps.
It is a helpful plugin when combined with other plugins, such as Wikipedia, as you can research a place and learn more about its location all in one central tool.

8. One Word Domains
Do you want to start a new online business? One of the first things you will need, whether it’s a blog or an ecommerce store, is a website.
And, for that, you need a domain. The same applies if you are trying to build a website for your small business or physical shop; you’ll need to search for a domain.
The problem is that there are many domain registrars, and it can be hard to know which one is offering the best price. ChatGPT, together with the One Word Domains plugin, can help.
Not only can it help you find the availability of a domain and compare prices, it can even give you domain name ideas if you don’t know where to start. Tell it the name of your business, for example, and it will suggest available domains that might suit it.
9. News
News is a plugin that will give you a news summary for the day and a list of the top news articles. I asked it for a daily news recap, and it provided me with a bulleted list of the top events and occurrences around the world.
It also gave me two tweets, complete with a news tidbit of the day, hashtags, and links, that I could tweet to my followers. I found that interesting, and although I’m not currently active on X (formerly known as Twitter), it could be useful if you want to increase engagement by posting useful news updates.
Finally, it also gave me an article list, with sources such as The Hill and Page Six, complete with each article’s author information and a brief description of what each article is about.

AISEO Repurposer is an incredibly useful tool for digital marketing.

For example, I told ChatGPT that I ate a banana. It then created a table with information about the calories, carbs, fat, and protein in the banana.
It also created a progress report that showed me how this banana fit into my daily meal plan and calorie allowance. You can always tell ChatGPT to help you create a meal plan and use Calorie Coach as an assistant to figure out how many calories you have already consumed.
13. Canva
Canva is a graphic design tool that is free to use. It includes plenty of templates for all kinds of designs, including posters, presentations, social media banners, and more.
The Canva plugin on ChatGPT allows you to find templates and create beautiful designs.
You can start by simply telling ChatGPT what kind of design you would like to create, and it will use the plugin to give you template ideas that would suit you.
14. YouTube Summaries
There are all kinds of great videos on YouTube:
- Documentaries
- How-to guides
- Podcasts and more..
Have you ever wanted to watch one of these videos, but you didn’t really have the time to watch the entire thing?
Wouldn’t it be nice if you had a tool that could summarize key findings and insights from the video? The YouTube Summaries plugin can do just that.
Just insert the link into ChatGPT, once you have the plugin installed, and ask it to summarize it for you. It will give you quotes and insights from the video, and while not always perfect, it does help you get a quick overview of the video’s key points without actually watching it.
Note that it only works for videos that are no longer than 30 minutes.
15. Weather
Do you want the upcoming weather forecast for your city or town? Simply prompt ChatGPT to give you the upcoming weather by inputting your city and state or zip code.
For example, I asked ChatGPT to give me the weather forecast for Tampa, Florida. It proceeded to do just that.
It gave me a breakdown of the weather for each of the upcoming days and nights, along with expected temperatures and weather conditions.
16. Charge My EV
You can avoid having your electric vehicle’s battery die on you if you have the Charge My EV plugin on ChatGPT.
This plugin will give you a list of electric vehicle charging stations near you, along with the providers, connector types available, address, number of chargers, pricing, and more!
If there are a lot of charging stations in your area, it might first ask you to narrow down your search by specifying a certain provider or type of connector.
17. Open Prompt Library
To experienced ChatGPT users, it’s no secret that to get the best responses from ChatGPT, you need to optimize the prompts you input into the tool.
ChatGPT is simply a tool; it can’t read your mind, but if you are more specific about what you want it to do, you will get better results.
Open Prompt Library is an openly accessible library of prompts that have been tested to get great results from ChatGPT. These prompts have been uploaded by ChatGPT users for your benefit.
With the Open Prompt Library plugin, you can ask ChatGPT to pull the best prompts for any given task from the Open Prompt Library. Then, you can simply copy and paste any of the prompts into ChatGPT.

If you want to watch a movie or TV show but don’t know which one is worth your time, you can use the What to Watch plugin.
For example, I asked it to recommend some horror shows, and I got some great recommendations. It also gave me a brief overview of each of the recommended shows.
So these were some of the plugins that can come in handy in your day-to-day lives. Let me now answer some of the most common questions about these plugins.
FAQs About ChatGPT Plugins
Do the Plugins Cost Money?
No, but you do need to pay for a Plus subscription, which costs $20/month plus tax, to be eligible to use plugins. The Plus subscription includes ChatGPT-4, which has access to the web. It is required for many plugins.
Why Can’t I Find the Plugins Option?
ChatGPT Plugins are in beta mode, so you may need to enable them in your settings.
Click on your name in the bottom left corner, then click on Settings & Beta. Click on Beta features and toggle the Plugins option on.
From then on, you can access plugins from the drop-down menu at the top of your screen, where you would normally switch between ChatGPT-3.5 and ChatGPT-4.
Are There Any Restrictions on Using Plugins?
Yes. As of now, ChatGPT only allows you to enable three plugins at a time. You can install as many plugins as you want, but only three plugins can be active at any given time.
If you have more than three plugins installed, some must be disabled.
In addition, ChatGPT-4 itself has usage restrictions. As of this writing, it is 40 messages every three hours.
If you use up those 40 messages, you will have to wait until you can start using ChatGPT-4 again. You can always switch to the ChatGPT 3.5 model in the meantime, but it doesn’t support plugins.
However, these usage restrictions do change from time to time.
Where Can I Find the Plugin Links?
You can go to the Plugin Store, available from the drop-down menu in ChatGPT to find and install plugins. While some plugin developers have created web pages talking more about their plugins, the plugins are always only accessible directly from ChatGPT.
How Does ChatGPT Know When to Use Plugins?
ChatGPT uses artificial intelligence to determine whether an external plugin would be optimal or whether it could give you better information by simply searching through its existing database.
Usually, if you have a plugin enabled and ask a specific question related to the plugin, ChatGPT will assume that you want to use the plugin. For example, if you have the Gift Finder plugin installed and ask for gift ideas, ChatGPT will almost always call the Gift Finder plugin.
Sometimes, ChatGPT will ask you follow-up questions before calling the plugin. For example, it might ask you what your gift budget is.
Finally, you can be more specific if you want to ensure that ChatGPT uses the plugin. For example, if you have the Wikipedia plugin installed, you can always specifically ask for information from Wikipedia instead of inputting a general prompt asking for information about the topic.
Conclusion
There are hundreds of ChatGPT plugins, and new ones are being released all the time. They are still in beta mode, so do expect some issues.
For example, some plugins didn’t work and were “unreachable.”
That being said, whether you want to find the best shopping deals online, book a cheap flight for your vacation, or delve deep into a scientific research topic, ChatGPT plugins are incredibly useful and are changing the way we use the web.
When you have enough plugins installed, ChatGPT turns from a simple chatbot to an all-in-one tool that you can use for weather updates, news articles, meal plans, and almost everything else.
