The Drunken Hour font is one of the best Harry Potter fonts on Canva. It is characterized by highly irregular, wobbly, and strange strokes and letters.
It gives off a haunted, magical feeling. Some of the letters have blotches on it to add an even spookier feeling.
The tilted letters make it seem off balance. It’s perfect for posters, events, and parties, especially for ghost or spooky themed events.
ITC Blackadder is the perfect Harry Potter font. It’s also great for Halloween.
With jagged, spiky letters, ITC Blackadder gives off a spooky and magical vibe that is hard to describe in person, just like the powers of a wizard. You have to see it for yourself to believe it.
It’s a fantasy font that is great for imaginary worlds of magic and wizardry. It definitely has one of the most Harry Potter-like vibes of all the fonts available on Canva.
Another one of my favorite Harry Potter fonts on Canva is Butcherman. Butcherman is a horror font.
Its letters look like they were cut with a sharp knife, leading to a jagged and heart-stopping appearance. It gives off a sense of danger and foreboding, leaving you to wonder what’s coming next.
It invokes a feeling of general unease. It makes your heart jump a beat!
Butcherman is great for Harry Potter designs and Halloween designs in general. I like using it in red, as shown in the screenshot above, but you can use it in black or any other color as well.
Charu Chandan Blood Drip, as the name suggests, is a font that makes its letters look like they are dripping blood, making it perfect for Harry Potter, Halloween, and other scary and spooky themes.
It’s gruesome, ghastly, and horrifying. It’s spooky, surreal, and dreadful.
Charu Chandan Blood Drip comes in two styles: Regular and Bold. Use the Bold version if you want to convey a somewhat stronger, bolder message.
Charu Chandan HardStroke is similar to Charu Chandan Blood Drip, but it doesn’t have the drippy element. It’s a bit less ghastly and perhaps a bit more professional or a bit more suitable for Halloween, Harry Potter, and other spooky events targeting children.
Black and White Picture is a font that has an ancient, mysterious, magical feel to it. Its curves and brushes invoke a feeling of wonder, appropriate for the wizardry of the Harry Potter series.
The little drops and spots around the letters make it seem as if the letters were written with a brush. It adds an authentic feel to your words.
Black and White Picture can be used on posters, as story titles, or in videos talking about Harry Potter or spooky themed topics.
Shlop is another font that oozes and melts. If you use a red font, it makes it look like it’s dripping with blood.
If you use a black or gray color, on the other hand, it looks a bit less gory.
Regardless, it’s a great font if you are looking for a grotesque font to use for your Harry Potter themed posters and designs. It is dark, eerie, spooky, and magical.
Kust is a handwritten font that can be used for ancient scrolls, magical documents, and other Harry Potter themed designs. It has a rawness to it that lends to feelings of suspense and anticipation.
Kust is rugged and gritty. It’s great for Halloween posters as well.
Next up, we have Rubik Beastly, which aims to give off a beastly, scary appearance. With blurred and blotched letters, it gives off the impression of being ghostly.
To make it appear more ghostly and extra worldly, I would recommend using a gray font. A red font can also work well, or you can combine different colors.
Rubik Beastly is a disruptive font. It is bold and rebellious.
Abys is a dark and mysterious font. Its sharp edges add a touch of foreboding to it, giving a sense of dread and fear, as if you’re staring off into the abyss.
It’s perfect for Harry Potter-themed designs. Invoking a sense of dread, the Abys font on Canva is a good choice for Halloween and spooky tales as well.
Tallow Sans Pen is a good Harry Potter font to choose if you want something a bit more vanilla. A lot of the fonts on this page can be a bit over the top.
Tallow Sans Pen, on the other hand, is a calmer font that still has a whimsical vibe and a very subtle touch of mystery. Its sleek, legible characters are both casual and eerie.
Finally, we have Chapbook. Chapbook gives off ancient vibes, lending itself to subtle, mysterious suggestions. It’s perfect for Harry Potter themed designs when you don’t want to overdo it with goriness or gruesomeness.
Chapbook is slightly spooky and eerie but still professional.
Conclusion
All of these fonts are great for Harry Potter themed designs. They are also perfect for Halloween and other spooky events.
If you want to add a touch of goriness, you can change the font color to red, as I have shown in select screenshots.
