Fiverr is one of the largest freelance marketplaces in the world. Initially, freelancers could only sell gigs for $5 (hence the name), but Fiverr no longer has this limitation, allowing sellers to set their own prices.
You can sell any kind of service on Fiverr, from graphic design to pentesting to silly services like caricature drawings or prank calls. Today, I’ll be showing you 25 Fiverr gigs that you can sell with minimal experience to make money online quickly.
Easy Fiverr Gigs To Make Money Online
1. Proofreading
Proofreading is a simple gig that requires only a basic grasp of proper grammar and spelling. You can also use a tool like Grammarly Premium to detect grammar errors and spelling mistakes.
Many writers simply don’t have the time to proofread their work. You can check for and correct punctuation errors and spelling mistakes and format their articles properly.
Depending on the length of the article or ebook, you can charge anywhere from $5 to a few hundred dollars per gig.
If you can proofread in another language, you can charge even more.
2. Beta Reading
An alternative to proofreading is beta reading. Unlike proofreaders, beta readers don’t look for spelling and grammar errors.
Instead, they simply read books, novels, and other publications as a “beta reader.” Many authors want real people to give them feedback on their work and suggest ways to improve the flow or storyline.
It doesn’t require much skill, but you do need time to read through books. If you’re a slow reader, this job might not be for you.
In addition, you should be good at articulating your thoughts and providing helpful feedback.
3. Transcription
Another gig that has a low entry barrier is transcription. It involves listening to audio and transcribing what you hear.
Transcribers charge per audio minute, but keep in mind that one audio minute can easily take 5-10 minutes to transcribe. Not only does typing take time, but you may have to replay the audio several times if the quality is bad and it’s hard to make out what the speaker is saying.
4. Video Creation
You can create reels and video collages for people using simple apps like VivaVideo and Kinemaster. These apps allow you to string together pictures from your gallery and add effects, filters, text, emojis, music, and more.
The apps are simple to use, and many are free or have a free version. While they don’t require much skill and only have a small learning curve, some people don’t know how to use them or don’t want to bother spending time with them.
Create cute videos that people can post on Instagram or TikTok or send to their friends and charge a small fee per video. People will send you their pictures, and you will do the rest of the work for them.
5. Article Writing
Many businesses need content for their blogs, and you can write for them. SEO content writing requires a basic understanding of how to use keywords in articles, and you must also have good research skills if you will be writing on topics you don’t know much about.
However, not much else is necessary other than good English grammar. If you’re a fast typer, you can easily churn out several articles a day.
6. Leaving Comments
If writing entire articles isn’t your thing, a good alternative is comment writing. You can leave 10 comments on 10 different blogs, for example, for a small fee of $5 or $10.
It doesn’t take much time or even require good writing skills, as the comments only have to sound natural and human-written.
What’s the point of leaving comments on blogs? In your comments, you will include a backlink to the customer’s blog, which can help boost their SEO and drive traffic to their site.
While leaving comments is no longer as popular a link-building method as it used to be, many bloggers and site masters still look for people to do it.
Alternatively, you might leave thoughtful comments on people’s blogs to start a conversation and show that readers are engaging. Someone might pay $5 for you to leave several comments on different posts, using different profiles.
7. User Testing
Similar to beta reading, user testing involves trying out websites and apps and giving your honest feedback on the user experience. You should have a screen recording software and a microphone so you can narrate your experience in real time.
Discuss issues like ease of navigation, how easy it is to click on buttons, website speed, and whether there are ads that ruin the user experience.
You can also test landing pages and ecommerce sites, giving feedback on the checkout experience and how easy it is to find and purchase products.
8. Prank Calling
Prank calling is a fun and easy gig. There are many types of prank calls you can make.
For example, if you’re able to make voice impersonations, you can offer to call people and pretend you’re Donald Trump, Barack Obama, or any other famous personality.
A customer might hire you to call and prank a friend.
If you can’t do voice impersonations, you can still make prank calls and pretend to be calling from a company or organization. Be creative!
You can even use an app that turns your voice into a robotic-sounding voice and pretend to be from Anonymous.
9. Translations
If you speak two languages, you can offer translation services.
One option is translating articles and texts from one language to another. The other option is transcribing audio from one language into another – such as listening to a speech in English and writing it down in Spanish.
While there are free tools like Google Translate, many people want a native speaker who can use proper slang and natural language when translating.
Google Translate and other automated translation tools also make many errors, especially when translating less common languages, that can make the end result sound unnatural.
10. Online Friendship
Some people are lonely or busy professionals who don’t have time to go out and make friends. However, everyone needs someone to talk to sometimes, and not everyone has the money to afford a professional therapist or wants to talk to one.
You can lend a listening ear and give people advice on how to solve their problems.
You can sell different packages. For example, this seller charges different prices for text conversations, phone calls, and video calls.
Some people might prefer text conversations, especially if they have social anxiety. Others, however, would prefer the close connection they can get from video chats.
While you don’t need any kind of certification to be an online friend, you should be an empathetic individual who knows how to listen, sympathize with others, and give advice.
11. Unboxing Videos
In the past, many Fiverr gig workers would sell testimonials. They’d record themselves providing a video testimonial of any product or service to be placed on YouTube, landing pages, and social media.
However, Fiverr has put such services (like this one) on hold. Its content guidelines do not currently let freelancers sell paid testimonials or reviews – whether positive or negative.
If you don’t mind recording videos of yourself, though, you can create unboxing videos for companies. They will send you a new product, and you will take it out of the box, unwrap it, and describe its features as you explore the product.
Unboxing videos aren’t reviews or paid testimonials. They’re honest opinions and real-time reactions to new products that you never tried before.
The point of unboxing videos is to give potential customers a closer picture of what the product looks like, what it does, and how it works. Pictures on product pages often don’t do a product justice.
Seeing someone else unboxing the video can help consumers feel more comfortable purchasing the product, as they know what to expect. It can also help minimize returns and post-purchase issues.
You don’t need a lot of equipment for unboxing videos, but you should have a good camera so you can produce high-quality videos. A microphone that produces good quality audio is essential as well, as you want people to hear your voice clearly.
Finally, you should have basic video editing skills. Make your videos interesting, and don’t drag them out, or they might get boring.
12. Telemarketing
If you don’t mind calling random people, you can also provide telemarketing, cold calling, or sales calling services. You will get a list of numbers to call and possibly a script to follow.
You might also offer to follow up on leads and set appointments. You’ll need a separate number (don’t use your main number) and a calendar app for organizing appointments.
13. Explainer Videos
If you’re knowledgeable about a subject or simply good at following directions and explaining things, you can create how-to videos. For example, a software company might want a how-to video on how to use a software tool.
You can create a walk-through of physical or digital products and explain how to use them step by step. If you’re creating explainer videos for digital products, you’ll need a screen recording tool.
14. Happy Birthday Videos
A popular and profitable Fiverr gig is creating unique happy birthday videos that people can send to their friends. There are so many ways to be creative with this:
- Create a deep fake of Donald Trump or another public figure wishing someone a happy birthday or signing a happy birthday card
- Using puppets to wish someone happy birthday
- Animating a dog or another animal wishing someone happy birthday
- Creating simple animations of stick figures wishing someone happy birthday
- Using a funny accent to wish someone happy birthday
- Wishing someone a happy birthday from a unique location or landmark
- Wishing someone a happy birthday from a faraway country or in another language
- Dressing up like a religious figure, such as Jesus, and wishing someone happy birthday
The more creative you are, the better. There are already sellers offering many of the above services, so try to come up with someone unique.
15. Other Video and Picture Messages
A happy birthday message isn’t the only type of message you can send. You can offer to repeat any script in your video, using one of the ideas above or another unique idea.
Alternatively, you can create picture messages. For example, if you have a cute dog or rabbit, you can write a message on a sign or postcard and have your pet “hold” the sign.
16. Sending Interesting Stuff From Abroad
Another cool gig is shipping products that are available in your country to a country they are not available in. These products don’t have to be anything special; they can include the following:
- Local candy
- Postcards from your country
- Souvenirs
- Sand from a beach in your country
- Bills or coins from your currency
You can also offer to ship other products. For example, if someone in a foreign country wants to buy something from Amazon, but Amazon doesn’t ship that product to their country, you can help.
You can purchase the product, get it shipped to your house, and then ship it directly to your customer. Alternatively, go to local markets and purchase local items not available elsewhere.
Of course, the customer will cover purchase and shipping fees, but you will add a small fee of $10 or so for the trouble. It’s not a lot of work, and it’s a service that can be very useful to many people.
17. Backing Kickstarter Projects
Another interesting gig is backing Kickstarter and other fundraising projects. A lot of times, fundraisers need a bit of a push to get started.
If nobody has donated, it can be hard to get someone to start. By donating a few dollars, $10, $50, or another amount to the project, you can get things going and provide much-needed social proof for others to contribute.
The exact amount you will donate will depend on the customer, or you can offer several packages. Of course, the customer will compensate you for the donation, but you will also charge an extra fee on top of that.
Fundraisers might hire several sellers on Fiverr to make initial contributions to their campaigns, so competition isn’t always an issue. Often, they need more than one initial contribution for the project to appear popular.
18. Language Practice
Another excellent gig that doesn’t require any skill is helping people practice foreign languages. Let’s say you speak French fluently, for example.
Someone learning French might want to immerse themselves in the language and have conversations with people in French, but they might not know anyone who can speak it.
They’d be willing to pay to simply talk with you over video chat and practice their French with you to improve their listening comprehension and speaking skills.
It’s best if you’re a native speaker, as that’s what people are often looking for. However, if you are fully fluent, this gig can work for you as well.
You can charge $5-$25 an hour, depending on the demand and your qualifications. For example, if you’re just a native speaker, you might charge $10-15 an hour.
On the other hand, if you have professional certifications or are a French professor at a university, you can charge more.
19. Facebook Girlfriend/Boyfriend
Some people want the appearance of having a boyfriend or girlfriend online. They might be looking for an online friend to comment on their Instagram or Facebook posts as if they were their romantic partner or change their status to “In a Relationship ” on Facebook with them.
It’s kind of silly, and teenagers will usually be your main target audience. There are several reasons someone might want that – so they don’t appear single and alone or to ward off people who keep hitting on them.
Either way, you can charge a small monthly fee – it’s not a lot of work. You can also create multiple Facebook accounts and work with several customers.
20. Social Media Account Creation
Many small business owners want to create social media accounts but don’t know much about doing it. They don’t know where to start or have the time to figure it out – they’d rather pay someone a nominal fee for creating accounts on different platforms.
You can charge anywhere from $50 to a few hundred dollars for creating social media accounts on:
- And other platforms
You can also sell different packages. For example, you might sell a higher-priced package in which you upload posts for 30 days after creating the account, and then you let the customer take things from there.
21. Social Media Management
Social media management is similar to social media account creation, but it requires a long-term partnership. Business owners might already have social media accounts, but they might not have the time to:
- Upload pictures and posts
- Respond to comments
- Monitor and respond to DMs
You can do all that for a monthly fee.
22. Shopping Research
Another easy service you can offer is shopping research.
Let’s say Joe wants to buy a product, whether that’s a washing machine or anything else. They want to find the best deal on the product and ensure they are buying a good model with great reviews from a reputable brand that offers a good guarantee and a money-back guarantee.
Doing all that research can take quite a while. Instead, they can hire you to do the research for them.
You’ll find them a great deal anyway, so they’ll save money in the long run, making your services well worth it. Besides, they’ll save a lot of time and have peace of mind knowing they’re purchasing a quality product that will last them for a long time.
23. Workout Planning
You can also create workout plans for people interested in getting into fitness. You don’t have to be a certified personal trainer to do this; all you need is some basic knowledge about fitness.
Tailor the plans based on people’s goals. For example, if someone is interested in losing weight, you might recommend a cardio-heavy routine that works for their schedule.
If they need to work out at home, you might create a HIIT workout with exercises such as jumping jacks, mountain climbers, and other cardio exercises. If they want to build a six-pack, you might focus on ab exercises, such as crunches.
If they have access to a gym and want to build muscle, you might recommend weight-lifting exercises. You can focus on machine workouts if they are beginners or compound lifts if they are more advanced.
24. Workout Videos
If you enjoy working out but don’t feel confident enough to plan workout regimens for others, you can create workout videos using programs that others have created.
Let’s say Bob created a workout program that he is selling online, either as an ebook, app, or video course. He wants videos showing people completing the workout – you can create a video of doing that workout, so people see that it’s not that hard.
If you can take before and after pictures showing your progress, that’s even better. Often, before and after pictures only require you to:
- Have better lighting in your “after” picture
- Take your “after” picture right after a workout, when you have a pump, and your muscles are more visible
- Suck in your stomach to make your abs more visible
25. Pray or Compose Custom Prayers
These two gigs are similar but a bit different. The first involves praying for someone.
Many people would pay you to pray for them, especially if you can offer a special prayer, such as a prayer at a holy site. Here is an example of such a gig.
The second option is writing a custom prayer that they can use to pray for the things they want in life.
Wrapping It Up
Fiverr has become a lot more competitive than when it was first launched. Often, it can take a while until your gig gains traction and you start getting reviews.
One way to speed things up is by promoting your gig on Fiverr so that it gets displayed in strategic locations on the site and more people see it. That way, you can drive traffic to a new gig quickly, but it will cost you money.
The most important thing to remember about success on Fiverr is that it is important to be unique. The more creative your gig is, the more you will stand out.
