Side Hustle Stack is a small company, so there aren’t that many reviews of it online. Let me start, therefore, with my own review.
I think Side Hustle Stack is a good website to check out if you are looking for jobs, but it’s far from enough. There are few earning opportunities there, and it lists many gigs that you are probably already aware of, such as:
- Uber
- Airbnb
- Patreon
- Twitch
That’s not really helpful to everyone. You might not want to be an Uber driver, and you may not have a house to rent out on Airbnb.
Simply telling someone to start a Patreon isn’t very helpful either, as you need to build an audience on your existing YouTube channel or blog before you can start asking people to donate to your Patreon. Also, becoming a Twitch streamer isn’t for everyone, nor is it really that easy to make money on Twitch.
However, most of the gigs were indeed interesting, and I would not have found out about many of them if not for Side Hustle Stack.
Some really interesting side hustles I spotted on Side Hustle Stack were:
- Papa Pal: Become a “pal” for the elderly in your area, offering help with chores such as getting groceries, carrying packages, and more. You can work on your own time and make money on your schedule.

- Neighbor.com: Make money by renting out unused spaces, such as an unused garage or attic, for storage.
- Wag: Sign up to become a dog walker, sitter, or trainer. If you love animals, it’s a good way to earn some extra cash.
There are tons of other really interesting earning opportunities on Side Hustle Stack as well. Altogether, I counted around 70 different earning opportunities – some of which were already familiar to me, while most were not.
Still, if you are looking for extra income, Side Hustle Stack is not really enough. Not all of those opportunities will be applicable to you – you might know nothing about gaming and don’t like dogs and don’t have any extra storage space to help out.
Therefore, while Side Hustle Stack is worth checking out, and you should look through all the side hustle opportunities listed on the site to see which ones might be applicable to you, I would say that it should be just one tool in your arsenal.

There are also long-term gigs available, allowing you to build up a steady consistent income. You can even earn a full time income on Wonolo if you put in the hours.
When searching for jobs, you can browse by shift (morning, afternoon, evening, or night), thus allowing you to find opportunities when you are free. You can also filter by distance, search for multi day jobs, and more.
For example, I found a job listing in Dallas looking for people to work in a fulfillment warehouse for $14/hour, paying $168 in total until the job ends. Another job listing, this one in Chicago, was looking for delivery drivers, paying $33/hour for three hours, for a total of $99.
As you can see, the jobs are usually temporary, making it perfect for when you are in between jobs and looking for some extra cash or if you are a student with some extra time on your hands and want to put in some honest work for some extra cash.
2. Side Hustle Nation
One of the first places I would go if I was looking for side hustles and extra gigs is Side Hustle Nation. It is a website and blog focusing on helping people increase their earning opportunities and find new side hustles.
Unlike Side Hustle Stack, however, the site is constantly being updated with new blog posts exploring new side hustles and gigs, including online and offline gigs. There are all kinds of interesting ideas being explored on the platform.
For example, one blog post talks about different ways to earn Amazon gift cards. You can also browse blog posts by category by using the main menu.
On the right side of the site, you will discover the most popular blog posts, and I recommend checking them out as well if you are looking for side gigs. They explore topics such as:

- 50 apps that pay you

- 28 ways to get free money
You can also sign up for the newsletter to get updates about new earning opportunities. The site is free to use, and all in all, it’s one of the best resources out there if you are looking for new and unique side gig opportunities.

Polywork is a great alternative to Side Hustle Stack. It focuses on connecting you with people who need help working on side projects.
For example, you might find someone interested in helping them coming up with Trivia questions or looking for people to help beta test new apps.
You can find employees at different companies, such as Google, Facebook, or Uber, who are interested in collaborating with people like you who are willing to help with various projects and tasks.
4. SolidGigs
SolidGigs is an interesting alternative to Side Hustle Stack because it is one of the few ones that are not free. However, if you are willing to pay a small monthly fee, you might find that it saves you a lot of time.
It may also help you find many new gig earning opportunities, allowing you to earn back the money you spent on the platform anyway.
So, how does it work?
First, you tell the platform which kind of freelance business you are running and the type of gigs you are looking for. The service will then source various software gigs that are appropriate for you and send you alerts when they find them.
It’s a gig matching service, essentially. Instead of needing to search for gigs yourself on sites like Upwork, you can outsource the actual gig hunting to them, getting matched with jobs that are perfect for you (you still have to do the pitches yourself, as they can’t guarantee you will get any job).
Is it worth it? Fortunately, you can sign up for a seven-day trial to see if the gigs you are getting would be worth the monthly fee.

5. Airtasker
If you want to work on side gigs to make some extra money, sign up to be a tasker on Airtasker. On Airtasker, you can find all sorts of extra gigs, such as:
- Help people carry furniture up the stairs
- Do some gardening and landscaping
- Install a TV
- Assemble furniture
- Do painting jobs
- And a lot more!
Airtasker payments go through the platform, adding an extra layer of protection, with the money heading straight to your bank account once the gig is completed.

Some jobs can be done from anywhere in the world, while other job posters are looking for people who live in the US or North America specifically. In either case, make sure to read the job description and required qualifications before applying so you know what you are getting into.
9. Remote.co
Another fantastic alternative to Side Hustle Stack for finding remote work online is Remote.co. You can browse remote jobs by company – there are currently around 150 companies on Remote.co.
You can also browse by job type, such as virtual assistant jobs or remote legal jobs. Browse jobs here – enter a keyword or company name or select a specific job category to filter your results.

It’s important to optimize your Upwork profile by filling out details about your work experience and getting reviews from clients. In the absence of reviews, you should work harder on the pitches you send to clients and charge reasonable rates until you build up your reputation on the platform.
11. PeoplePerHour

For exclusive freelancing gigs, join the Toptal freelancing community. It’s a great alternative to Side Hustle Stack because it allows you to find gigs that are actually well paying.
There’s no guarantee you will be accepted to work on Toptal, which is why I only included it at the end. According to the website, it typically hires around three percent or less of all freelancers who apply to work on the platform, which is how it ensures its clients are getting access to the top freelance talent in the world.
There is a five step application process, and although more than one out of four pass the first step, fewer than three pass the final step. In addition to demonstrating valuable skills, you will also have to go through a live screening, which will check for problem-solving abilities and more.
You will also have to work on a test project before you are fully approved, which can take a few weeks. Finally, the last step is demonstrating good performance continually.
However, if you do pass, you can access really well paying jobs that can help you earn a full time income from freelancing.
Wrapping It Up
Side Hustle Stack is an interesting website, but it’s still pretty new and has a long way to go.
While there are some interesting gigs on the platform, I recommend using other job seeking platforms too. This should increase your chances of finding a good job.
