Amazon is one of the very few platforms that is rich in revenue-generating opportunities. A source reveals that Amazon has about 310 million active users as of 2023.

With such statistics in mind, it’s evident that you can easily start your business through the platform or sell products with little competition.

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is an Amazon program that allows you to outsource order fulfillment to Amazon. FBA is part of Amazon’s fully automated services, called Supply Chain by Amazon.

FBA enables third-party sellers to automate their order fulfillment and shipping services. The concept is simple: sellers sell and Amazon ships. In a nutshell, Amazon handles all shipping, including refunds and returns, for anyone enrolled in an Amazon seller account.

All products in Amazon FBA get the Prime Member badge automatically. The best part is that you don’t have to pay or charge premium shipping fees for free Prime shipping to customers, as everything is included in the package.

We all love hearing success stories about various platforms, especially those that promise to help us become wealthy.

In this article, we shall look at testimonies from users who have benefited from Amazon FBA and what makes it best for Amazon Seller Account holders. We will talk about Amazon FBA success stories.

Let’s get straight to it.

Amazon FBA Success Stories

1. Dan Rogers, Just One Dime

If you frequently watch videos on YouTube, chances are high that you have come across Dan Rogers’ Just One Dime YouTube channel. Rogers started selling online in 2015 in South Africa.

When he started his journey, the self-described “technophobe” was interested in opportunities to globalize his business expertise and savvy. Amidst his research on this topic, Rogers came across the Just One Dime YouTube channel.

By then, he only had about 50 subscribers. It was only a short time until Rogers propelled a review-banned Amazon product from $0 to $20,000 within seven days. Dan grew to become a leading voice in product branding and listing optimization.

His expertise has seen him train over 1,000 Amazon sellers, some of whom have made sales worth $3 million a year. While South Africa may not be one of Amazon’s marketplaces, Dan Rogers managed to thrive from it.

The Just One Dime team is so glad they brought him on board, and they applaud him for his invaluable insights on Amazon marketing and business in general.

He only underwent a single training, but now he holds an Amazon Mastery Membership and is a Just One Dime co-coach.

2. Tom Wicky, MyFBAPrep

Tom Wicky is the co-founder of MyFBAPrep. Alongside his partners, Taylor Smits and Bart Boughton, Tom started a nationwide network of third-party logistics warehouses (3PL) in 2018.

Tom Wicky spent over ten years managing digital businesses in Australia and Europe. Tom started his eCommerce journey at eBay, whose account he confirmed is still active. Tom joined Amazon in 2013 with a few German programmers.

He launched a dropship model for apparel with a catalog of about 350,000 trademarked designs. The apparel featured images, including comics like Superman, movies, TV shows, and pop culture icons.

MyFBAPrep partnered with a firm with novel print-on-demand rights, allowing it to sell items online even before printing them. The company generated one million listings, with Amazon placing the listings under the organic search category.

MyFBAPrep recorded sales worth $30K, which was the beginning of massive business success. The journey wasn’t smooth, but as MyFBAPrep grew, Tom Wicky and the team were also scaling their business to meet the growing demand on Amazon.

What seems to have helped MyFBAPrep achieve success are the various above-the-line marketing investments made.

Some of its best practices include targeted emails from LinkedIn, where it built a multistage funnel with sophisticated tech to mine opportunities continuously.

A greater portion of MyFBAPrep can also be attributed to referrals from existing warehouses and customers. Today, the company continues to expand in the 3PL world.

3. Seth Kniep, Just One Dime

We’ve already mentioned Dan Rogers as one of the Just One Dime YouTube channel’s beneficiaries, but allow me to now introduce you to Seth Kniep, the man behind the channel.

Seth started selling on Amazon in 2014. By then, Seth was trying so hard to work his family out of a $24,000 debt, and his journey started with just a single dime. You may be wondering why this colossal debt and how it came about.

Before anything else, Seth Kniep worked for one of the world’s wealthiest companies, Apple. He outperformed over 800 salespeople, and all his life, he lived and breathed corporate life.

Seth drained all his annual raises to medicate on caffeine, and it wasn’t long before his finances, marriage, and parenting became battlegrounds.

Unfortunately, Seth fell out with his boss after being shamed in front of his subordinates. Armed with only a dime, Seth started Just One Dime.

He approached 20 random people, asking them to double his dime. Just by asking, he made $400. He then poured his heart into eCommerce, but it wasn’t a success from the start. He only made $35 selling on eBay.

He did not give up. Seth started an eCommerce platform, which gained about 2,000 followers but only made $500. His breakthrough happened when his wife joined in to help sell everything they didn’t need on eBay, Craigslist, and Facebook Marketplace.

They used the money to purchase inventory. Soon after, Seth’s Amazon store began to grow. Amidst this growth, he made another supplier mistake, losing $20,000, but still kept going.

Within no time, his dime became $100,000. He then converted Just a Dime into a safe place for eCommerce enthusiasts to learn and write their Amazon success stories.

Amazon itself flew Seth to its headquarters to consult with him on how to improve its third-party platform.

In his story on Just a Dime blog, Seth shares that one of the Sharks from Shark Tank asked him to run their Amazon and eCommerce division. Two countries also approached him to train some of their top businesses.

Today, Just a Dime runs a full-time sourcing team in China. Seth has trained millions of students turned millionaires.

4. Mohit Sharma, MohitEcommerce

Third on our list of Amazon FBA success stories is Mohit Sharma. Through Amazon, Mohit has built a profitable business helping eCommerce stores in India. He started MohitEcommerce in 2019.

The eCommerce enthusiast was interested in a business idea that was scalable but with a low investment. By this time, Mohit was a full-time employee, so he only managed the company part-time.

Mohit later created a working structure that allowed him to interact more with leads from his website. His eCommerce experience was drawn from platforms such as Jio Partner, Tata Cliq Seller, Meesho Supplier, and Swiggy Partner, among others.

Mohit attributes his success to Amazon India Marketplace. While his flagship services now include Amazon Seller Training, Mohit shares that he couldn’t have reached this far were it not for the training and meetups organized by Amazon in New Delhi.

Mohit emphasizes that the strategies and resources that the Amazon team provided helped him network more with many companies. Mohit rose from providing seller services from his website through writing articles to offering business consultancy to local businesses.

Through business consultancy services, Mohat makes between $2K and $3K per month. He now focuses on onboarding as many sellers as possible and offers training and account management services to online businesses.

Lori Spallone is also a beneficiary of Just One Dime, a dream that was born through Amazon FBA success stories.

By the time she enrolled in the Just One Dime channel, she already had a product she wanted to launch on Amazon.

At this time, Lori had just purchased and moved into a school bus with her family in an effort to live simply and spend more time with them.

Lori, with her husband, had worked at Forgo Childcare on alternating schedules, which made them miss out on a lot of family time.

Lori felt less fulfilled, especially since she had to work on someone else’s terms. She ended up quitting the job. With the help of Just One Dime, Lori was able to transform a single product into a thriving Amazon store.

6. Tim Sanders, Private Lable Masters

Tim Sanders is one of the eight-figure Amazon experts who are open to sharing their Amazon success stories. Like most of us, Tim was raised in an average family, where he could only afford the necessities.

Tim Sanders entered the workforce at age 15. It didn’t take long before he landed at Costco. Tim wasn’t lucky enough to acquire a college degree. In fact, when he tried attending junior college, he couldn’t last more than a semester.

But he had one goal. Work at Costco up to the management level. Unfortunately, the chance was given to someone with the longest-serving history. While he worked harder, he realized that his chances of getting to the top at Costco were slim.

So, he thought it was the best time to venture into the small business world. Tim started by venturing into the real estate market before he moved to the stock market. However, competition in these markets was fierce, and he couldn’t keep up with the heat.

Finally, he ventured into eCommerce, where he used private product labels, which propelled him to become an eight-figure Amazon seller. Tim is also among the top 1% of Amazon sellers who have made over $60 million in the past five years.

His success story continues after private product label sales. He also created a course that teaches students worldwide how to sell profitable products on Amazon.

Through his Private Lable Masters program, Tim shares high-level information throughout the course and through his YouTube channel. While at it, Tim continues to re-invest money into his businesses.

7. Matt Clark, Amazing Selling Machine

Matt Clark’s Amazon FBA success story is an interesting one. Matt moved from being a troubled teen to becoming a CEO, making moves in the eCommerce sector. Matt is one of the few kids who’ve had to witness their parents drift apart.

He’s not shy to share about how his parents’ divorce affected him to the point that he got into drugs when he was just a teenager. To him, that was the best way he could pull himself away from the crowd.

Luckily, he made it to a university and attained two degrees. In 2008, Matt Clark secured a job at an investment bank. It turns out that it wasn’t the best time for him. Putting economic issues aside, Matt was confident he didn’t want to work for anyone.

So, in 2019, he created an eCommerce platform where he sold health supplements just before the Amazon FBA craze. His first product was a sleep aid, which initially made $700.

His venture grew steadily, and within no time, he had accumulated a total of 11,000 products on his website.

After two years, Matt moved his business to Amazon. As with any other seller venturing into the platform, Matt struggled with supplier issues but eventually streamlined his operations. Eventually, he doubled his eCommerce business in just two weeks.

Matt Clark had already built three multi-million dollar businesses by the time he turned 26. Later, he met Jason Katzenback, and together they founded Amazing.com. The Amazing Selling Machine is one of their programs.

Mina’s success is an embodiment of teachings that are passed on to all students. Mina believes that for your products to sell, they must solve a problem.

Through MMA training, he identified a problem. He realized that he was losing a lot of electrolytes that he couldn’t quickly replenish.

Mina was also on a keto diet. Since most supplements are full of sugar, he figured why not develop a product that would accommodate keto enthusiasts. When the product rolled out, his friends could easily notice a change in their workouts.

But on the downside, the supplement didn’t taste good. He found the feedback about the taste through Amazon reviews and immediately realized that he had to do something. He quickly devised another product with improved flavor and never turned back.
